The information in this directory is provided to help you find resources to assist you with finding help for your child and family. The range of care/disability/health issues varies amongst children so the information may or may not pertain to your child.

After a family learns that their child is ill parents/caregivers typically begin to think about how they can best care for their child. The resources in this directory include agencies, service providers, advocacy organizations, and other resources to assist with providing a quality life for children with medically complex needs.

Since 1986, Believe In Tomorrow has provided over 600,000 individual overnight accommodations, helping families stay together in the midst of a child’s medical crisis
Since 1986, thousands of critically ill children and their families have used our respite homes free of charge to renew their energy and spirit throughout their child’s exhausting medical treatment. Believe In Tomorrow opened its first permanent pediatric respite facility in 1996, the Believe In Tomorrow House on Fenwick Island. Since then, the foundation has acquired both ocean and mountain resort properties.

The Dream Factory is the only children’s wish-granting organization that does not limit its mission to children who have life-threatening illness. The organization believes children with chronic illnesses and disorders also suffer from substantial emotional and physical pain. In 1980, The Dream Factory began with one all-volunteer chapter in Hopkinsville, Kentucky. Since then, The Dream Factory has grown into the second-largest children’s wish-granting organization in the United States.
